Any recommendations for FULL hull models (3D printing or manufactured miniatures) for submarines (German, US, Italian, RN) in 1:1200 (second choice 1:2400)? By full hull, I mean, I'm not interested in waterline models. I guess the best choice would be a range that had BOTH waterline and full hull miniatures, but I realize that might be pretty rare. Reason: I'm working on an idea for an underwater submarine game set in WW2. Thanks for the advice in advance, it is always appreciated. Walt |

I am assuming this is sub vs surface? There was exactly one instance of submerged sub vs submerged sub fratricide in WWII. |

One of the Japanese candy toy companies (Konami, Takara?) did full hull Type VIIs, XXIs and I think a Type IX |

Full hull + belt sander = waterline. I'm going to second the 3D printer suggestion. You can have all you want in both types in any scale you like for next to nothing. Find someone with a printer. I have tanks in 1/300, 1/200, 1/150, 1/100, and 2mm, for no particular reason. Just fooling around. |

I've seen modern full-hull sub models in 1/1800 and 1/1200 (or 1250) on Shapeways. You might try contacting some of the designers there to see if they would do some WWII versions for you. |

A bit bigger than you want, but 1/700th should have all you need. |
