Interesting. If you're ever visiting the northwest corner of the United States, I encourage a trip to the US Naval Undersea Museum in Keyport WA. It's across Puget Sound from Seattle and about 20 miles north of Bremerton. It has lots of interesting bits about torpedoes and mines. It also has plenty of artifacts on the topic of escape gear for submariners. It's free and highly recommended.
