Long promised but it seems it will soon appear and painted up it looks great. I gather all the stowed kit comes with the tank, which is a very nice feature.

Interesting point about scale. We all "know" that 28mm does not describe a scale, but the kit the figures carry and vehicles they use will not show the variation in size that we see in Homo Sapiens individuals.

So, if we can learn the dimensions of the model we can soon work out its scale. I reckon Gringos 40 figures are generally 1/50 approx.

Wiki tells me 9.3 M long, 3.65 M wide and its height is 3.1 M.

chaps………
just an information update..
the model is 1/48th scale and
the shell of the Tank is in the
best quality Grey Resin..the complete
tracks, turret mounts,barrel,and finer parts
are in pewter,all the additional
stowage visible and more comes with the
model as standard.

Onomarchos – I was really surprised by how small M48s and M113s were when I saw them in Vietnam museums. My wife uses Corgi stuff and they are really a bit big, but they look good are ready to go. OTH they are pretty expensive if MIB – not so much otherwise, however if we were starting to game Vietnam I imagine she'd go for Gringoes/Empress models for a better size/fit..

This carries some different angled views of the same model so probably worth a show here;

Ged.
Just a slight correction to your ad for the M48. Marine
Corps is spelled with an "s". Your spelling is incorrect.

Well spotted. News Corp. is OK, with the p sounded, as it stands for Corporation. Marine Corps sees it pronounced core, from the French for a body.

No one ever said English was an easy language to master!

History and Etymology for corps

borrowed from French, "body, tactical military unit, group of persons or things," going back to Old French cors "body, group of persons or things," going back to Latin corpus

Then there is the old salty Marine quip of, "Eat the apple and f--- the core"
