"China has hit back at the United States over investigation into the origin of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic. Zhao Lijian, spokesperson of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Monday that if labs are to be investigated, the World Health Organization (WHO) officials should go to Fort Detrick. "If labs are to be investigated, then the WHO experts should go to Fort Detrick. The US should act transparently & responsibly as soon as possible and invite WHO experts for an inquiry into the Fort Detrick lab. Only in this way can truth be revealed to the world," Zhao said on Twitter. The tweet was in response to calls for a second round of investigation in Covid-19 origin. Fort Detrick is a military base located in Frederick, Maryland…"

My money is on the PLA lab in Wuhan, trying to create a bio-weapon, since they've stated in the past they were working on those. Frequently going unmentioned in the news, regardless of the source and development intention, China's spreading this throughout the world IS a fact, as they locked down travel within their own country. They actually continued to allow, and probably encouraged their people to travel by jet to all points of the globe, actively spreading this to others, when they could have prevented that too, like they did internally. Some internal Chinese scientists close to, and/or actually involved at the lab have stated the above is true. |

Was it released deliberately by China as a bio weapon? I doubt it. But did it escape from the lab accidentally? Did cynical leaders assume they could handle it with draconian brutal lockdown while it spread to the rest of the world to destabilize their economies? That's much more likely. Word has leaked out that China has a Delta breakout that they are failing to contain, and that the vaccine China developed is losing its effectiveness.
The genie is out of the battle. Maybe the virus wasn't studied as extensively as it should have been. And maybe its origin is really bats. |
