I just wanted to say that I received an order today from Early War Miniatures and was pleased with the service and the product.

Paul at EWM got the order out in just a couple of weeks, despite being short-staffed (and sent along a nice set of accessories to make up for the delay) and then once the order was dispatched, I received within a week!

I ordered mostly early war armor and artillery and all seem to be clean and well cast.

I will be ordering from EWM again.

They have some great models!

Agreed, 20thmaine! I ordered some early war French and German vehicles and some artillery pieces -- all were quite nice although I particularly fond of the Char B1 bis!

I have their Indian mountain gun, both deployed and on mules, and it fits perfectly with my 20mm plastics. Great figures and great service.

I've placed half a dozen or more orders with good success until my last one this year.

I've been waiting for some missing parts since early March. Multiple attempts to contact have gone unanswered since then which is unusual as Paul has a long history of rapid responses.

Hopefully there are no health issues, etc. I count five website updates since my last contact so someone must be home.

Have you considered just ringing him up? Not that expensive if you use Skype.

I placed yet another order with EWM and had a very good experience once again! I ordered a few more vehicles for May 1940 (French and German) and a set of their very nice latex cobblestone roads which I expect will serve from antiquity to WWII!

While I expected the order to take about a month since the roads are made to order, but Paul got them out in a couple of weeks and dispatched them via a courier so I received the package in one week to the day (UK to southern New England and at the holidays to boot.

So thanks to Paul for the great service and very nice products (I can see more of the roads in my future!)!

How about a review on the latex cobblestone roads?

Au Pas de Charge,

The latex cobblestone roads are very nice. I bought the basic set which has 6 straight sections (just over 13" each) as well as one short section (6"), two 45 degree curves (about 5"), two T-sections and a crossroads. The roads are all 3" wide with a small verge on each side.

The road sections are very thin but yet seem rather sturdy. I placed them over some hills and they conformed very nicely so whether you have your hills over or under a terrain mat, they will look good.

I started painting several of the sections. They need to be painted with acrylic paints and spray paints should not be used. I used a base coat of Vallejo Model Air dark grey and the roads took the paint well -- I got a nice thin coat on the sections and the detail is still very evident. The next step will be a couple of light coats of dry brushing with lighter great and probably a sandy color and then I will paint and flock the verge. I think they will look very nice when finished. I plan to buy some additional straight and curve sections make sure I have enough for a variety of layouts.

I am quite happy with them and look forward to getting them on the table soon.
