"AUSCHWITZ REPORT starring John Hannah, is the true story of Freddy (Noel Czuczor) and Walter (Peter Ondrejicka) – two young Slovak Jews, who were deported to Auschwitz in 1942. On 10 April 1944, after meticulous planning and with the help and the resilience of their inmates, they manage to escape. While the inmates they had left behind courageously stand their ground against the Nazi officers, the two men are driven on by the hope that their evidence could save lives. Emaciated and hurt, they make their way through the mountains back to Slovakia. With the help of chance encounters, they finally manage to cross the border and meet the resistance and The Red Cross. They compile a detailed report about the systematic genocide at the camp. However, with Nazi propaganda and international liaisons still in place, their account seems to be too harrowing to believe."

I toured Dachau, around six years ago. Dachau was a Concentration Camp, it was the blueprint from which the Extermination Camps were modeled off of. I recommend everyone tour Dachau, and the other camp museums, if possible. The World must never forget what happened. It must never be allowed to happen again.

It is well worth Sgt Slag's point that what is preserved is largely representative of KZs. The Concentration Camps.

Little remains of the horrors of the Extermination camps the Vernichtungslagers. The gas chambers were carefully destroyed before Soviet troops arrived and whilst the "workers'" bits of Auschwitz remain, the most evil bits are gone. It all helps of course with the suggestion that it never really happened at all. I would love to believe that, as it is beyond accepted civilised human behaviour. Or so we thought until the break up of Yugoslavia and the massacres their, or ISIS, or Cambodia, or Rwanda etc

We are horrible collectively sometimes.
