When your normal (and much cheaper), matte black acrylic paint just won't do:

"Black 3.0 is the blackest and mattest acrylic paint on the planet. Unlike other super-black coatings it can be safely applied with nothing more than a brush, and we've worked super hard to make it affordable. "

It's a fun read, but nothing I'd use for mini painting… ;-)

Isn't there a rule to never use black, because nothing on a battlefield is truly black? grin

Not my boondockers or my socks … maybe my heart.

Handy for a model of a black hole I guess. Otherwise I very rarely use straight black

I looks useful for certain things I am painting for 15mm science fiction.

I'll put in an order and see how it works.

I rarely use white, but black I do use. Maybe nothing is for long, I suppose.

Would love to paint my truck with it, all but lights and windows.

Actually, thinking about this, I might get some for some spec ops guys I have. I'm thinking it would make they actually stand out against other black stuff on the board.

Black dry brushed with a few various shades of grey …

Just remember you can't use a sealer on it, otherwise it loses it's 99% light absorbing qualities. Pricewise, it might be comparable to GW paint… ;-)

Black dry brushed with a few various shades of grey …

That's what I do now.

I was just wondering if the dark black would make them "pop" in a different way.
