I recently ran a Dwarf/Human attack against a wooden palisade occupied by Hobgoblins. The Hobgoblins had dug Dwarf Pits (Tiger Pits, really) to stop the Ram/Human Cavalry charges they were goading, by standing outside of the walls… It was a little tricky, but it was a great deal of fun to see the reaction of the Dwarf/Human player, when they charged, and stopped… New tactic, new technique, not covered by the rules. But, oh, so much fun! The Hobgoblin player had to circumnavigate the pits, carefully, so they limited his movement, quite a bit. All in all, I considered it a successful technique/trap. Cheers! |

They don't know the other sides OB and victory conditions and maybe some special scenario rules. All they really know is their own victory conditions, OB and what enemy units they see in front of them. I have used hidden units but rarely. |
