World Tank Museum 1/144 Panther repaint in disc camo. I had to strip this model twice before I was satisfied with the results.

I find this fascinating as a total newcomer (well it was 4 decades ago) to WWII. I always "knew" that only captured vehicles and King Tigers had crosses on the turrets. I even pronounced thus on this forum. Well, I was nearly right, except where I was wrong. I even modelled the similar Normandy Ambush scheme on the twin sons' Warhammer AFVs ( about 15 years ago) but the disc scheme I had never seen before. If you keep changing the finish it must be telling you something is wrong! But the modelling result is brilliant. |
