Well, that certainly looks like a sensible pilot's outfit to me, as does the katana, which no doubt is very practical as a weapon stored in the cockpit. That would have been my first guess as to her career choice, based upon seeing what she is wearing. On a slightly less sarcastic note, the paintjob on her IS simply superb! Her face, skin tone, and eyes look real, as does her hair. The thigh tatoo is a very nice touch as well, not that I like or condone tatoos (I don't), but the execution of the paintwork to represent that is excellent too. |

Really a great paintjob, but it does suggest that she has lost her underwear. Her proportions and the scale of her weapons are good. The black thigh garment suggests that she is wearing part of a pilot's high-G pressure suit. Maybe she has taken the rest of her flight rig off, and is down to part of the base layers. The high heels might be practical for working the foot controls of certain Gundam models. If I remember my boyhood reading correctly, Japanese fighter pilots who had katanas did carry them to battle in their airplanes. I suppose theoretically they might have been able to use them to fight off Allied sailors trying to rescue them after being shot down over the Pacific. So maybe that's what's going on here. |

Back in the '80s, we had a problem when we tried to modify one of the century series fighters, then in service only with the Air National Guard. One of the Guard pilots had unusually short legs, and the new cockpit arrangement would have made it likely that he would impale himself on the control stick. Perhaps if we could have convinced him that platform shoes were actually practical combat gear . . . Grelber |
