Does anyone know whether there was or is a good biography? Bios of officers whose most significant accomplishments were staff or organizational work are rare (Bonham-Carter's excellent biography of Lord Robertson, Trythall's bio of JFC Fuller and Forrest Pogue's life of George Marshall being honorable exceptions), but they do exist. I am waiting on a copy of "Forgotten Victorian Soldiers" in part to read the chapter on Nicholson, but was curious whether there is a full-length treatment anywhere. I am interested in his prewar work as CIGS and his participation in the Dardanelles Commission.
