I have a group that has no background in wargaming I figured this mixed with Song of Blade and Heroes plus expansion would be easy to teach and run a fast campaign. |

From what I know about these rules, the Shadows and Dust set do not cover the Victorian Times, (IIRC), are you using a new modification or are you using a different version?…
Also, are you going for fun or for horror or a "win" game for the group, or a series of adventures for a campaign?
How focused are you on the game, or the story? |

It might be easier to backdate 'Fear and Faith' than update 'Shadows and Dust'. I think the underlying system is the same. |

Or 'Chaos in Carpathia' covers exactly the genre you're after if your not committed to the SOBAH system. |

I was using the campaign and civilians from SSD. Most of the other stats come from normal Song of Blade and Heroes plus it's expansions. Chaos holds appeals just a little to advance to teach at the present. I also have Rippers, Empire of the Dead, and In Her Majesty's Name 1st. The goal
Is just to be a post Covid intro to wargaming. During Covid I build a number of Gilded Age/Victorian Warbands 28mm and a few armies for Gruntz/Rogue Planet in 15mm |
