Are these yours? If so, they are certainly fine for tabletop, but I would suggest a round of highlights. Particularly, the hair, skin and cloth are a bit flat at the moment. Lightening the skintone for tops of cheekbones, nose area (especially tip/bulb), and chin (don't go crazy here) will help bring out the face details. Work on smooth transitions as rough highlights look bad on skin. Same for cloth- the bottom vamp looks like you have a start on areas to highlight- work them up and also the edges of folds and top of sleeves. Some detail work on the bases also wouldn't hurt. Treat hair kind of like metal and go for strong highlights on the top. You want relatively small transition areas, though, to keep the lustrous/shiny look. Again, the bottom vamp is a good start- use thinned lighter grey to highlight the strands on top (leave it dark in the recesses). Then use very pale grey/white for a few hot spots. |
