Hi,
Our latest game during the Egypt campaign, 15mm figures as always…

If you want to see more :

Hope you'll enjoy!
Take care of you,
Phil.

Great looking game, shame about the upside down King's colour in the photo entitled "Freshly landed, flags flying, the meager but formidable British contingent".
The figures look to be mostly Minifigs and Chariot/Magister-Militum?

Phil the french26 Jun 2021 2:37 a.m. PST

Thanks for your kind words…Yes, you're right for the figures…and for the flag, I didn't even notice this, so sorry…Benoit, the owner of the British figures, will be crucified, that's the law! 😊
All the best,
Phil.

I thought it was deliberate – the British flying an internationally recognised distress signal… ;o)

Always good games, and enjoyable reports.

@Rob : this is an idea, I'll offer this explanation to Benoit!
@Peter : thank you so much, I appreciate!
Cheers,
Phil.

Great report! What rules did you use?

Phil the french27 Jun 2021 10:53 a.m. PST

Cheers Duke, thanks for the comment…
Our own rules, a fast-play system, not far from DBM (but more complex)…
Regards,
Phil.

Superb Phil- just the way I like games and terrain:- nice figures, well mounted, great terrain and builings, and concept design obviously!

And thanks for your continued bi-lingual comments.
Though I speak multiple languages; cat; dog; parrot and finch; French, sometimes having a translation for emphasis just helps!
Des bons mots- Monsieur "Director de Phil's Blogamotion!"

Many regards, dave wine

Hi Dave, many thanks for your kind words, much appreciated…
I often wonder if I keep translating, but I experiment with google translation and sometimes it's surprising, so I keep going, even though I'm sure I make mistakes every now and then …
Regards, and, as we say in cat language, Miaou Mi…
Phil.

With regard to the British flags, since the date is given as 1798, they should really consist of just the English red cross superimposed upon the Scottish white saltire/diagonal cross. The familiar form of the Union Flag, with the Scottish saltire cut through by red diagonals, follows the Union with Ireland in 1801. On another tack, again a great looking spectacle and I'm sure another enjoyable game. Good Luck.

"Nae bother, pal," as we might say in Scotland. Like many others, I always follow with interest these AARs with photographs, commentaries and drama (the one with French & Belgian soldiers resisting the German advance of 1914 was of particular interest recently, since it had information new to me). Hope to see more. Good Luck, and look after yourself.

My pleasure Robert🙏🙏🙏 …Oh, yes, "French & Belgian soldiers resisting the German advance of 1914", kind of you to remind me this one, I really liked creating it…
Regards,
Phil.
