Do you use your North Africa Brits only for North Africa, or do you use them for other theaters? Sicily? Italy? Middle East? etc. |

They'd certainly work, in concert with others, for Greecs and Crete. |

North Africa British are not dressed for North Africa, they wear the standard British uniforms for tropical theatres, which include all Africa, the Middle East and Far East. Until jungle greens were issued for more dense jungle terrain in arts of Burma and the Pacific this was standard issue clothing. They would be suitable for: North Africa (although not all the Tunisia campaign) East Africa Hong Kong Malaya Singapore Early Burma Madagascar Syria Lebanon Iraq Also good for Australians in: Malaya Singapore Papua New Guinea (early and the Australian militia battalions) |

Somewhat depends on how you've got them based… |

Our NZ Division, modified with an Armoured Brigade, went from NA to Italy after furloughs via Sicily. Just making a token force now… |

"Somewhat depends on how you've got them based…" Bill, surely basing determines the rules you can use, and not the appropriate year and theater? Or am I missing something major? Please give us your reasoning. |

@ robert Presumably Bill means if the bases are decorated with jungle foliage or desert grit. ISTR that the tin hats were locally repainted a different colour though – green for Malaya, sand for the desert. Or did I make that up? |

That occurred to me later. But really, a sandy grit will work for jungle terrain--unless you insist on digging trenches on the cricket pitch. I understand there was some fuss at the time. Or putting palm trees on your base. But jungles aren't noted for lush grass. I'd say try to match the roads to the bases. Greece is probably the outlier, and I think even there you could get away with it. I've seen Early War US in the Philippines with green helmets, but can't say for the British--and it wouldn't stop me anyway. |
