I have bought and painted a couple of Warlord's newest Napoleonics boxes – Spanish, Prussian cav, etc. While the sculpts are OK – not great, not horrible, I just cannot get used to the bendy squishy feeling. Wish they would stick with hard plastic or hard resin. For some reason the squishies do not want to stand up when I am basing them and I have to prop all of them while the glue dries.

Meh.

Is this the new resin material?

I think so. It is only with their last few new boxes. Not so bad with the infantry but the cavalry with spindly legs were very bendable.

That seems strange to me. I wonder what kind of plastic or resin they are using. One would think if it was defective, someone would have noticed, but it sounds like a bad batch. I have no experience with their figs other than Bolt Action so this is just a guess.

No, not a bad batch. They are advertised as soft resin. A quick pass through Youtube reveals plenty of opinions.

I have heard that Old Glory figures are very squishy.

So – back in the day I used to put a pin up through the base into the horse body when I based Airfix cavalry who had incredibly bendy spindly legs. I would hate to have to do this with modern figs.

As many as I have bought over the years… nnnnnnnnnnnNO.

Curious, so is it like the plastic used for much of the 1/72 figure kits such as Esci or the old Airfix?

After watching some YouTube reviews, it will be easy to pass on them. I had a lot of hope for the Spanish…
