I'm thinking range limited. Rolling is so much more efficient than walking.

Maybe walkers have a future for very specialized tasks.

But walking tanks have never been about need. When it comes to looking cool, legged machines are surely the way to go.

Good thing the govt let Hyundai buy Boston Dynamics. We didn't need that technology anyway.

I would think the target is rough terrain and being able to follow the squishy bipeds wherever they may roam. The pack mule system from Boston Dynamics looked promising, the AT-AT probably not so much.
