Title says it all. Some time back I found a fantastic little site with all the heraldry / armorial plates for members of the order of the golden fleece / toison d'or… I remember for each member it showed all the different pieces of art, and in places the heraldry differed. I seem to recall it was quite an old-looking site in terms of design. I can't for the life of me find it!!!! Does anyone know what I'm talking about by any chance??? |

You could try …. link This has some illustrated but I am sure that there is a more comprehensive list elsewhere and your description sounds familiar. It may be one of a number of heraldry sites that seem to have gone missing over the last few years, mostly ones in French & German. |

Alas that is not the one…. you may be right, perhaps it has gone missing recently. I think it was in French, but I can't quite remember…. Annoyingly whenever I google anything like "golden fleece armorials", "toison d'or heraldry" etc, including images, 90% of what comes up is damn pinterest pages! |

You can put '-pinterest' into the search and you shouldn't get any of them e.g. toison d'or armorial -pinterest heraldica.hypotheses.org/1770 has three possible candidates for what you are looking for e.g. link

I think the site you recall was heraldique.org. It isn't there any more. You might try searching Armorial de Gelre – which has a facebook page. There also used to be an Armorial de l'Ordre de la Toison d'Or some of which at least is accessible via vellusaureum.blogspot.com I used to access equestrian figure images of some Toison d'Or nobles via heraldique.org but have not been able to locate those today. Hope this helps? |

heraldique.org seems to be the very similar in content to the older heraldique-europeenne.org It does not, however, have the same early armorial listings that it originally had and seems to concentrate more on relatively recent heraldry. The problem on this site is that there is often so much that it overwhelms one. |

Thanks for the links, heraldica.hypothesis.org in particular is a goldmine, has an overwhelming number of sources! What was most useful about this site I'm looking for it showed all (or most) the illustrations of a certain knight's arms in one place. Sometimes they'd differ in different sources.
