ECWtravelogue visited Staffordshire and found several properties linked to Charles II and his escape from the Battle of Worcester. Plus a horse bit that reputedly belonged to Prince Rupert. I was lucky enough to have a private viewing of the bit, and had the full white gloves experience holding the bit itself. link

A few other useful snippets in there too including a clue as to how we could paint cavalry trumpeters, and a look at the Battle of Burton upon Trent
