The painting is nice, but the miniature has issues: those spiky bits pose more of a threat to the wearer, than they do to his enemies.

The spiked shoulder pads could easily tear the creatures wings, if he is not careful to keep his wings away from them in combat movement. The spiked wrist bracelets pose a similar threat to his wings, and his own body.

If he steps on something sharp, he will react by jerking his hoof straight up, driving the ankle spikes into his own shin. I've watched horses and goats with these leg types pick their hooves up, folding their ankles against their shins. These spiked armor bits are totally ridiculous. Cheers!
