Fantastic addition this thread.

Here are my completed Seminoles, next up will be US Revenue Cutter Service troops to engage them, and then, I'm thinking, some Cuban smugglers.

I live in Central Florida and am a Seminole Indian Wars reenactor and a miniatures wargamer so I look forward to this board.

If you are near Central Florida the first weekend in January the Dade Battlefield reenactment is presented in an excellent fashion and is well attended by the public. It's not often you see warriors riding Seminole Ponies through the pines while soldiers are firing a cannon. A Seminole Pony is also known as a Marsh Tacky.

Here is a list of Seminole Indian War reenactments and encampments. Encampments do not include a battle.

January Dade Battlefield reenactment near Bushnell, FL

January Battle of Loxahatchee near Jupiter, FL

February Encampment re 1837 skirmish at Camp Fanning near Sanford, FL

February Fort Foster battle reenactment east of Tampa

February Battle of Ocheechobee reenactment

March Fort Chokonikla/Payne's Creek skirmish near Bowling Green, FL

March Fort Cooper battle near Inverness, FL

November Fort Christmas 1836 militia encampment near east Orlando

December Fort King 1835 encampment near Ocala, FL

I can only hope that the Cutter Troops are lead by Ensign Crockett and Chief Tubbs.
