"Should the U.S. suddenly find itself thrust into a massive, full-scale war with Russia across the European continent, Pentagon leaders would likely seek to immediately leverage NATO's full arsenal of capabilities. For instance, a Polish F-35 might come across time-sensitive targets such as Russian ships in the Baltic Sea, and instantly send coordinates to a U.S. Navy destroyer operating within range to fire an anti-ship missile. Perhaps that same Polish F-35 is flying with Danish and Norweigian F-35s while controlling forward operating drones from the cockpit, one of which discovers Russian air defenses near the Ukrainian border? Perhaps the allied F-35s, connected by a common data link, are able to quickly send targeting data to U.S. Army ground units armed with Long Range Precision Fires? This is precisely the kind of warfare scenario now being envisioned and pursued by the Pentagon and its NATO allies…" Main page link Armand

I see a lot of might's, maybe's and perhap's! I'd hate to base any combat plans on that! |

I'd hope they have some OPLANs around … But yes I agree with Raynman. But IIRC there is a meeting going on between the US & Putin this weekend. So we got nothing to worry about … 😎😁🤩😆😂🤣😏 |

These plans were wargamed with loaded dice, no doubt. Home before the leaves fall. |

The first scenario is already completely flawed. Poland has wargamed a war against Russians and its airforce (48 F-16 + in future 32 F-35s) is quickly annihilated. Basically the Poles have insufficient fighters to defend themselves. Norway too probably would leave its border undefended by deploying fighters to Baltic if NATO goes to war with Russia. Their F-35 fleet is planned at 52 airframes of which some are US based for training purposes. The crux of my point is Europe lacks the ability to contribute meaningfully in a war against Russia.

I didn't know that it was NATO's mission to "Crush" anyone. I thought NATO was a defensive alliance. |

Well back in the day … NATO's mission was only to reestablish the IGB. In response to a USSR/WP attack. Of course, there were probably other classified OPLANs that say otherwise, I'd imagine … |

The only deterrent NATO every really had against a Soviet attack was nuclear. And they let everyone know it. |
