"The U.K. government has authorized the sale of £2.60 GBP-billion worth of military and civilian equipment with potential military use to China in the past three years, government figures show. Last year saw a tripling in exports to China of "dual use" items defined as "civilian goods with a military purpose." Some £1.60 GBP-billion worth were authorised in 2020, compared to £526.00 GBP-million in 2019. The increase coincided with the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020. The exports have been approved while China is identified by the British government as "an increasing risk to U.K. interests" and "the biggest state-based threat to the U.K.'s economic security."…" Main page link Armand

Cooperation with the CCP? We just saw what that reaped over the last year. Pun intended with extreme prejudice. |

>>> Something something… capitalists … rope …. something… A figurative rope …….. for now. If some get their way rope will be a good investment. They can manufacture it from all the flags they confiscate after deeming them hateful and thus illegal. Would be one of the few consumer items made in the USA. Wouldn't that be ironic? |

For some people it's all about the money. They have no loyalty to any nation. Patriotism is for the little people. |

Bullets, OFM – CEOs would sell them for their own and their family's firing squad, if a buck can be made from it. Reminds me a bit of ALL the kit they sold to Argentina back in the day, including warships prior to the Falklands War. |

How broad is the definition of "dual use" in this case and how much do consortium news want revenue enhancing clicks? And how much is £2.60 GBPbn over 3 years in the context of a £2.00 GBPtn economy? |
