So I'm looking for a simple model in a fairly reclined seated pose. Ancient and without armour would be best as it is going to be a maquette for building up over, does anyone know of suitable pieces? It's going to be an African King seated in a palanquin…

Thanks guys 'n gals!

Wargames Design Workshop do some multi-part nude figures, that I think may have been QT originally. I can't see a seated one, but there are a couple of crouching poses that might be usable – see link

Or Outpost have a 28mm Inca ruler designed to sit in a palanquin – short tunic and fancy headdress, not nude, but again you might be able to use him: INC8 at link

There is this from Foundry as I recall.

Thanks GurKhan, that Inca isn't perfect, but it will save me a lot of sculpting from scratch!

Warlord Games – Roman travelling coach has three seated figures.

Foundry has a reclining drinking figure in their mythical characters set:

Another possibility is to check out casualty marker figures as they are sometimes in a reclining pose.

Perhaps you could use a mounted Zulu as the basic figure with a bit of judicial cutting, unless someone does a seated King figure?
