I was thinking of picking up the Tinder Box Game from Little Wars. It states it comes with all need, except paint, to play and Old West shoot game using 15mm Blue Moon figures. I own some Blue Moon gangsters and cops but they are 18mm. Does any one know of the true scale of the figures that come in the game? I was hoping to add some figures to the game and need to know the scale I should be looking at. As always, thanks in advance for the help. Also, any one know of a company that produces in 15mm The Lone Ranger & Tonto old school figs? (Not the Disney crap Lone Ranger) I ask for I picked up Captain America in 15mm and hoped to find these two figs. I know some one out there is going to say you just paint any figure, but Tonto is not your average Indian figure.

The Blue Moon Wild West stuff is SLIGHTLY big for 15mm, but frankly, it is not very noticeable. I own Blue Moon 18mm Wild West and Peter Pig 15mm Wild West figures. The Peter Pig figures are what I would consider "true" 15mm. The guys on foot, once based, blend in very nicely with Blue Moon. I do have to say that the mounted Peter Pig models are smaller for sure. The horses look noticeably smaller than the Blue Moon horses.

That said, this has not stopped me from mixing the two on the tabletop. The Blue Moon range is excellent (and can be supplemented with their ACW and Plains War stuff) BUT if you want Mexicans then Peter Pig has a much better range for them.

I agree. PP mounted are smaller but I'll still use them with my Minifigs, QRF, Blue Moon, Frontier and a few other types. PP makes Indian Scouts which I wanted. You might be ahead to buy a fig in buckskin and swap an appropriate Indian head onto that fig.

I'd be all over Tinder Box except that I have been doing Old West since the 90's with 28mm. I am going to try out Ruthless. Also looking forward to any other stuff for it from LWTV. Love what you guys are doing!!!!

I did Pony Wars (I painted every figure they suggested for the big game) using mostly Blue Moon's excellent 18mm range but i did have to go to all the other companies already mentioned to supplement the Blue Moon ones to complete the collection.

The Blue Moon figures are quite a bit taller so I mounted other company's figures on thicker bases. Since most of the time we are looking down on the figures, the height difference is not that noticeable.

As for Lone Ranger and Tonto, I just used a figure from the Blue Moon
mounted cowboy pack and an Indian from their mounted Apache set and painted them approximately.

As a side note, the mounted Indian Chiefs from Miniature Figurines are really really good.
