Perry Miniatures produce this delightful set depicting a group of Portuguese signalers, complete with their semaphore pole. I've posed this set on top of a converted toy tower.

Nice. How did you do the tower effect? |

What was the reference you used for the semaphore telegraph? What was the 'model' for this type of semaphore telegraph, or is it a field expedient model? It is close to Gamble's second type of semaphore telegraph, which was taken to Portugal by the British in 1797, but not thereafter. Wellington didn't use it at all. Perhaps the Portuguese did? See Send it by Semaphore by Howard Mallinson. |

@Brechtel: This set depicts a station of the Portuguese Corpo Telegraphico. My source is only secondary, but this is just for gaming, not for a historical thesis! I based the info in my blog posting on the last section of this article: link |

@Au pas de charge: I first covered the toy with white glue and beach sand. I then sprayed it black. Lastly I dry-brushed it with brown, followed by yellow and finally the lightest dry-brush of white. |
