WW II naval historian James D. Hornfischer, according to Wikipedia, passed away 2 June in Austin, Texas. His books were best sellers and prize winners. The classic "Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors" is an epic of courage, tenacity and skill in the face of impossible odds. He was only 55 years old. |
