Here is the next vietnamese civillian figure. He is dressed in a bit better clothes . So I thought he might be the son of the village chief. Or he might be a leader of a unit of Viet Cong

All villagers are VC and all US troops are baby-killers is the only logical conclusion! The headman would have had to bend with the wind in order to survive. |

and if you follow Legion 4's opinion, what is your best chance of getting home in one piece? Listen to him you should. Wise is he…. God bless them villagers. They had little choice but at least be VC sympathisers (for which translate that they will not tell you where the trip wires were laid last night. That Rice stock is for us of course. That ammunition is for the hunting season, when we enjoy roast duck. That is a drainage tunnel and no, I will not lead the way down it) |

That is the way I was trained by all Vietnam Vets from ROTC thru Benning, etc. Being trained by and serving along side those "who saw the elephant" seemed to me to be a pretty good bunch to listen to, etc., … |
