Working on some of the Warlord Epic scale plastic ACW for a friend. Wondering what period they may do next? Maybe Marlbourgh? Any thoughts?

They will probably do Napoleonics…SYW would be nice though. |

Was going to say Napoleonics |

Wellington in India would probably be too much to hope for. |

I've been too busy with other projects to even open my box yet, but man, those look fantastic! And five bases per regiment is really impressive. My guess would be Napoleonics, though I could see them giving AWI a shot, too. V/R, Jack |

Whatever will allow you to use the same figures for multiple armies. I think AWI is a strong contender, or the SYW or ECW. |

I consider this to be right scale for the wars of Bismarck and Napoleon III. The troops are big enough to see, small enough to give them maneuver room while still depicting each battalion. But I'd be surprised if Warlord went for this era. |

+1 for Yellow Admiral, some nice FPW figures would be good as this is a period that requires the epic scale. Hopefully, whatever they do they will keep accoutrements, etc. to a bare minimum for ease of painting. |

My guess is the same as 79th. Clothing/uniforms generic enough for both sides? ECW and TYW is the obvious period. Or maybe 11th Century, everybody in a hauberk and nasal helm…? |

I should think anything for which there is a Black Powder supplement . Colonial/Zulu comes to mind: an era that also has two sides. link |

It is only really suitable for periods where you can produce a sprue for each side that covers the main troops used. So, WSS, FPW, ECW etc. Napoleonic possibly but it would require a LOT of addon sets to cover everything. |

I would guess Napoleonics as well but like Black Hat says you have to think about how many sprues you need – at least for ACW most sprues can serve for both sides I have to think that SYW would be easier than Napoleonics – at that scale one cuirassier in a tricorne pretty looks like another |

Hoping it's for the Thirty Years War/ECW periods, and to see pike blocks and musketeer ranks stacked up from plastic strips. They do have Pike & Shot rules (that might get a sales boost perhaps). |

Since they tried to claim that these ACW figures were suitable for both sides by making them typical for neither I'm sure they'll go for another period where one sprue will be entirely generic and suitable for any/all participants. They made it clear in the interviews released that these weren't for anyone overly interested in uniform accuracy. WSS is probably a good shout, better than ACW in some ways. hat men, grenadiers and gunners in plastic. |

I hope they don't but WSS would be a great candidate as the uniforms were quite generic. Personally I would love to see Crimea or FPW |

I have seen a video interview with Warlord's boss (I think it was); he gave some very strong clues/hints that it would be the ECW. Minimal numbers of sprues required to produce the bulk of armies (musketeers, pikemen, harquebusiers, artillery). None plastic extras to a minimum (cuirrasiers, dragoons). Plus it also happens to be one of his favourite periods. |
