Ginny was a Doughnut Dollie in Vietnam. She was murdered in her hooch in August of 1970. The murderer has never been discovered. I was just a few miles away at Dian when it happened. She was at Chu Chi. Later I discovered she had graduated from Miami University in 1970. She was an education major who did her student teaching at Badin High School, in my home town. I had graduated from Miami the year before and was an education major. It is probable that we passed each other on campus although I never met her. The Dollies were a gift. And every year I think of this girl from Cleveland who came over to help us and paid for it with her life. Tomorrow think of her and the other two Dollies who died in Vietnam. All those women wore a smile to help us poor slobs get through it all. Love and Honor to them all. H |

Very sad story. Thanks for posting. I think I had heard of Ginny's murder before, but thanks for reminding me. She should be remembered. |
