Hello everyone,

Not a manfactures does not offer a 28mm figurine of Samson of the tribe of Dan, son of Manoach and judge of the Judeans for twenty years? Thank you.

Surely your best option would be a Baresark figure from a Viking army? – or possibly a fantasy barbarian?

No thanks.

Well I've used a Ral Partha giant figure as my "Goliath" in my 28mm Philistine army.

Perhaps we need to know what 'look' you are looking for, as I remember Samson has no real description in the Bible.
As his strength surprised people, he must have looked more or less a normal human, though his Nazirite vow meant his hair and beard would be long an uncut.

Bashytubits30 May 2021 11:05 a.m. PST

Make sure he is equipped with the jawbone of an ass.

How about a Hercules figure? Much easier to find I think.

Crazyivanov30 May 2021 12:42 p.m. PST

I would second a Hercules, though one without a lion skin, and give him a longer beard and hair, and a fringe to his kilt with putty.

Many will even have a club, which you could shape into a jawbone.

FYI the Jawbone of an ass was only used in one engagement, it wasn't Samson's standard armaments.

Yes, especially not to forget the jaw of donkey!

Bashytubits31 May 2021 3:33 p.m. PST

Well if you are going to nitpick Herky he killed a lion bare handed. I wonder how much you could sell one of those jawbones on e bay for? Authentic re production jawbone as used by Samson.

Yes, but the lions of Asia are less badass than those of Africa, but maybe not at the time …

On the other hand, Samson was consecrated to God from birth as a Nazir, Samson didn't need to be strong and the lion didn't stand a chance.

In conclusion, no figurine for him, except in plastic at 1/72 scale:

No one includes the jawbone on a weapons sprue?

Robert, Samson is the No.1 figure and the Donkey's Jaw is the No.1 weapon.
