I know AB miniatures do not make a Portuguese mounted General figure so does anyone have an idea what figure by AB could pose as such? I know CGM and Stonewall do a portuguese general but don't want to make an order for one figure. |

A standard French general would be a good start point at that scale. A little filing and an appropriate paint job would do the trick. |

As the army was entirely outfitted by the British and often commanded at the senior level by a seconded British officer then the British uniform is most likely. Regards Alan |

Alan, do you think that the uniform would be red British or Portuguese bluw – perhaps just fudge it by painting a British officer in blue? |

Probably best figure is AB-F17 French Mounted officer in bicorne from the French 1798-1806 range, with the plume cut off. At the least the bicorne is positioned in the same way as the Portuguese Officers. thanks |

I think that only the seconded British would wear red. Blue was the regulation. |
