At the start of the Covid lockdown I began my 28mm Cossack Uprising project. Yesterday was the first opportunity that I had to meet up with friends and get the figures on a table for a game. I ran the first two days of the 1651 Battle of Berestechko.

On my blog I have put a short video and a few photos of the initial deployments.

I hope to do an after action report over the next week or two with some photos of how the battle developed.

Your focus on one project during the long interregnum is inspiring! Great looking figures!

Super looking armies – perhaps in the next video you could add a commentary describing each unit, which will also slow the speed as you pan over them. They are well worth dwelling on.
Thanks for sharing.

Impressive stuff. A lot of field defences on both sides: I'll be interested to see how the battle develops.

I saw the game in person and it was very impressive. Well done, Martyn.

I am thinking about running the game again at Historicon in November.
