Sundance, Thank you for asking and your concern. I am still in a period where I cannot put weight on my left leg. So, I cannot stand in place on one leg for very long, pick up any weight, or move about easily at all. All that combined negates any attempt at all from taking orders, casting, packing, shipping – even sweeping the floor. I'm hoping my orthopedic doctor will allow me to test putting some weight on it next month. But even that will be limited to a certain small percentage of the day. If I overtax it, stumble and slip or fall I run the risk of incurring more damage to what's already injured or even new damage. That would send me back to the hospital, more surgery, increase the odds I will ever get back to 100% and set my recovery clock back to zero. That I do not want to do. Even today six weeks after the accident my leg is on fire with nerve regeneration and healing and still on one remaining narcotic to help me. (While still in this state I wouldn't trust fully any detailed work or business accounting I would attempt.) It's already altered my life – and my wife's too – and I don't want to put her out anymore as well. So,,,,,please be a bit more patient with me. I'm looking at a full schedule sometime in July – maybe – if all goes well. |

I think I speak for everyone when I say that we want you around for the long term, and not damaging your recovery for some quick orders. At least, I hope I speak for everyone. . . . |

I would much rather wait, than have you increase or do new damage. Hope you get well soon Colin |

Toby, thanks for the response. I wasn't aware you were injured. By all means, please take your time to heal well – we'll all looking forward to you getting back on your feet – literally. |

Toby how is your recovery? Assuming you are well, do you plan to go to Historicon (aka FALL IN!) in November? |

Jim, Doing quite well,,,,,, thank you very much. I have not reopened the workshop yet as it is still a dangerous place for me still. My overall morale has certainly taken a hit, and my movement factor is reduced but I am getting about OK on both legs and take a cane with me on outings. Shows and Cons are not in the mix yet and I fear the virus thing is rearing it's ugly head again and will destabilize us all anew. Best hopes all around. Toby Barrett |

Keep making progress Toby (life is so often [and sometimes even best fulfilled] one step at a time). |
