Are AB Napoleonic figures too large for 15mm buildings? I have 15mm buildings from Hovels and MBA.

I don't think so. I have both. Just my two cents.

AB makes lovely miniatures.

I am thinking of starting a Peninsular project and I really like AB figures but I have a lot 15mm buildings and I am wondering if I should look for 20mm buildings. I hope not.

I and many from past threads like a size smaller for buildings IF you worry about ground scale. But if say more into skirmish actual scale might be your best bet.
I have lots of AB Naps and 15mm buildings would be fine

I use AB's with Hovel buildings, they look great together.

I use Hovel buildings and AB minis and they go well. What I have a problem with is gamers who use for example 15mm buildings such as La Haye Sainte with rules that do not match the building scale. Using La Haye Sainte as the example it is about 60m wide and 40m deep yet players can usually put 3-4 battalions from any rule set in the courtyard.
A physical impossibility.

I use 6mm buildings with my 15/18mm figures.

I like big battles so the ground scale is important. One 1/100th scale cottage does not look like a village to me. Nor should it contain a 1:20 ratio battalion of H&M troops (if you have ye olde removable roofs).

Figures should not be actually put in buildings or built up areas. They should be taken off the table and a flag for the nation and for each unit placed next to the occupied building or built up area that is occupied.

I use 10mm buildings for my 15mm Napoleonic games.
My figures are on the 1:20 ratio, and my little battles are at division and corps level. Any buildings larger than 10mm has too large a footprint. In my games, I do not put figures in buildings.

Scratch built from matchsticks ~10mm Russian Village.

10mm store bought German Village.

God bless,

I have used 15mm with 20mm with WWII figs and it works out pretty well. Just wasn't sure about AB. I feel much more confident now. Thanks everyone!

I use a card off table with building squares on them, troops entering building ( area with possibly a few buildings in that area in Empire rules) go off board onto that page.
