Getting ready to start painting my Mexican militia for California, but I'd like some advice for skin colors.

Mexico is a land of mixed races; a huge and vigorous indigenous population, a Spanish influx, Africans (mainly in the coastal areas, other Europeans ñ, notably Germans and French. However, the great majority of the population is mixed. I recommend medium skin tones for the majority of your minis with a few lighter and darker ones thrown in the mix.

I use medium flesh with a sepia wash.
