Does anyone know of any 28mm minis that can be used as Persian Khwarazmian warriors in a pinch?

Thanks.

Well, when I read your post I thought "I don't even know what that is." So a quick Google produced these guys, who look more or less like Cataphracts to me?: link Apparently, there's a lot of variety in the category "Warriors": link

Most of the pictures available on-line, such as the ones Jeff references above, are from an on-line game from Nexus Mods called "Mount and Blade" or another called "Total War." Whether or not the images are accurate, I tend to believe that they do show typical warriors from that area of the world.

Since the Khwawazmians were of Turkic mamluke origin and were vassals of the Seljuq Turks, I would think that you can use just about any miniatures from that time period. Military armor was fairly constant and wide-ranging what with the varying conquests and migrations.

Just my nickel's worth!

If this picture is anything to go buy they look a bit like Sassanids to me

Maybe try Gripping beasts Timurids?

Thanks all! Good call Rupert! I'm actually gonna use Gripping Beasts Seljuck Heavy Cavalry bodies but with Timurid mounts.

@Jeff, yeah sorry I didn't post more info Bro. They're an interesting if short lived Empire who are relegated to being remembered as an adversary of the Mongols who were easily defeated by them.

Essex Miniatures has a Crusades range in 25mm that offers at least a dozen Ghulam type cavalry that are suitable as Khwarazmians.
