I am trying to find 20mm Arab Legion miniatures for the 1948 war. It looks like I am going to have to resort to swapping Arab heads with WW2 British infantry bodies. Any other suggestions out there?

Well the Turks regarded the Arabs' homeland as Turkish property I guess. But I would like to have addressed any of them as "Turkish Arabs" however

Ottoman Arabs, as it were.

For metals, Raventhorpe does WWII Arab Legion figures in khaki drill shorts (see below) but not sure if they have the same headgear available as a separate head. FWIW, many of the figures in their British range are headless.

Are Raventhorpe still available?

SgtGuinness27 Apr 2021 9:17 a.m. PST

Nick, I do believe they still are available, however I've not personally ordered from them in years. Raventhorpe figures are much larger than everyone else's 20mm figs though. On the table and during a game I find the difference negligible. Think in terms of size difference comparatively speaking in 28mm like Foundry to Redoubt. Would you like me to send you some pics showing the size difference?

Yes Raventhorpe are still around and great to deal with – they have an active FB page.
