I need a darker green color for a unit of SNLF. I am
not good with mixing colors, so I am looking for something
straight from the bottle. Any advice on either Vallejo,
craft or other brands and colors will be a huge help.
Working with 15mm, and want something to stand out from
my IJA colors. Using Khaki and (hearing the groans) Japanese Uniform. Doing USMC vs Japanese.

thanks in advance for any help;

Sam

This info is for mixing craft paints to get Vallejo color mixes. It uses specific ratios so if you have a way to measure you won't screw it up.

Thanks for the info guys. I have a vallejo guide for the Japanese Army, but the SNLF uniforms from what I have read were
a dark green color. I have seen recommendations for Vallejo
Olive Grey, but was wondering if there were other choices.
Again, looking at straight out of the bottle.

Sam,

Sorry, I'm no help, but curious what you're up to, Old Man.
Let's see them; I'll show you mine if you show me yours ;)

Hey Jack,
"Get off my lawn,kid!" :-)
I am in the planning stage for a small Rapid Fire army for
the Pacific. Initially was going to do a regiment each,
but am scaling back to two battalions each. Figured I would
do one IJA bn and then one SNLF. Like you, these will be solo or a small 4 player game.
As to pics, I am a luddite! I just have an old flip phone
and my old laptop has both an unsupported OS and browser.

After these 15s, I do have a platoon each in 28s coming up
next to do solo skirmish. Will be using Combat Patrol or
modified Nuts War against Japan for rules.

Following a major vision issue and multiple following operations, I am just now ready to pick up a paint brush.
Jack, it has been 15 years since I touched a brush!

With my age, heath and stamina, my days of running convention games are long past. So I am looking small or and solo.

take care

Sam

I did mine in Vallejo Russian Uniform. I'm pretty happy with the result.

Thanks Wargamer Blue. A nearby FLGS stocks Vallejo and I will
pick up a bottle. Heard a lot of good things about how well
Russian Uniform works.

Off topic and on behalf of my late uncle, thank you and your fellow countrymen and women for the welcome, hospitality and friendship extended to the 1st Marine Division as they recovered there after Guadalcanal.

My uncle Howard spoke fondly of how your citizens made them feel "almost just like home" and welcomed them as if they
themselves were Australians. He said your country was beautiful as your people friendly. His brief stay there
was one of the very few things he ever spoke of about
his service in the Pacific. He was an infantryman, who fought on Guadalcanal, Cape Gloucester and Peleliu.

To your older generation and you who follow,my deepest respects thank you for the hearty welcome and courtesy you extended to
my late uncle.

Sam,

Get off your lawn? Now you sound like a 1st Sgt ;)

And sounds awesome, small and solo works for me, and I'm a fan of Rapid Fire, Nuts!, and Combat Patrol. 15mm and 28mm, eh? Sounds cool, and you can email me your pics and I can hang them up for the world to see, if that's easier.

And glad to hear you're doing better and getting back in the saddle; it's like riding a bike, you'll be fine ;)

V/R,
Jack
