I've asked this before, but I thought I'd try again.

Its a classic. It needs figs! (And possibly as equal or reboot.)

I've always thought it has the best representation of an Elf with elf bow.

Here are a couple links providing more information on the film:

I hadn't even heard of this movie, but I'll have to watch for it. Thanks!

You could try making your own on the Heroforge website? They print pretty good.

I watched that one on cable shortly after it first came out! I hardly remember it. I do remember Jack Palance being in it as the "bad guy", and recall almost nothing else about it. That was over 40 years ago! How time seems to fly.

No. Don't. Just trust me on this. Don't.

Change the name, change the plot, change the story, change the script, change the director, change the cinematographer, change the art direction and you might have a decent fantasy film. Emphasis on "might."

I'm partial to it myself. Not great, but a good straight unpretentious heroic fantasy.

I have a DVD copy. Guilty pleasure definitely.

I should have been more clear. Looking for minis to represent.

Love the movie always have (even if its bad) I would love to remake it. And I too would love some miniatures ( did design a hawk figure with hero forge but did not get it made yet its on the list

Hawk the Slayer was rubbish!

Personal logo Saber6 Supporting Member of TMP Fezian14 Apr 2021 4:00 p.m. PST

But it was the rubbish that we could actually watch! It had its moments, those part we all remember and a bunch we happily have forgotten!

newarch15 Apr 2021 8:14 a.m. PST

@Saber6 Sorry it was a line from the classic British comedy series Spaced, where one of the characters is illustrating the risks of defending the fantasy genre with terminal intensity.

I saw it on a huge screen at the Odeon Hyde Park Corner – it was absolutely perfect for a D&D obsessed teenager. I also have a DVD – and it isn't great in retrospect, but it's still a perfect D&D scenario.

Captain Oblivious15 Apr 2021 4:21 p.m. PST

After watching it as a kid, a friend was upset that D&D didn't have rules for a fully automatic Longbow like the Elf used.

We just added them! And a Mind Sword.
