Sure, war could have started at several points earlier than it did. "Debunking the Myth" is a sort of breathless extravagant description, though.

The FACT that the war started at Lexington is not a "myth" that can be debunked. The war could have started at several different times, but the FACT is that it didn't.

Like doc implies, "debunking myths" is nothing but a click bait title.

The details that Mr. Raphael writes about may not be well known. The fact that a philosophical and political revolution had already occurred within the colonies that became the U.S. is widely accepted.
