Is anyone currently making 25-28mm Musket Period Teddy Bears?

Not that I am aware of.

I know Der Altefritz used some to game with his kids and posted pictures but I can't remember if they were 15's or 25/28's. I'm thinking to the larger size.

I believe they were made by Eureka, in 28mm, but are no longer available.

Hello all,
The range was sold some years ago, with the new owner intending to re-release and add to the range. So far nothing has happened and I have lost touch with the new owner.
I have made a range of Teddy bears in 15mm for the ACW that are available through Slave 2 Games.
The contract of sale of the 25mm range does not preclude me making another range, and Drew (S2G) and I have discussed this at length. So if there is enough interest that could happen.

Try a kickstarter and see what happens. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Kickstarters are hard work to administer neither Drew or I have the time to oversee a kickstarter. I don't need pre-funding, I just need to know that the product is desired by the gaming community and is worth investing some time and effort in. If anyone who is interested in me making a new range could contact Drew at S2G, we can go from there.

Thank you all for your input so far. Keep it coming.

I don't understand why someone would buy a figure range and then take it out of the public retail market. I'm flabbergasted by this story.

Mike, I, for one, would definitely appreciate more Seven Years Picnic bears. Hussars, especially would be nice, but I'm running out of infantry as well.

Fritz, it has happened before. A lot of us are still waiting for the promised return of the Hinton Hunt figures.

The Guy who bought the range has a pretty high-octane job with the UN. His plans for retirement didn't come to fruition as he had hoped.

I know this may be a dead-thread now, but in case anyone is still looking….

My daughter saw me painting my miniatures, she decided she needed her own. I searched and searched for Eureka Bears but couldn't find any at a price that I would feel good about a 4 year old playing with. Already having a 3D printer and some amateurish skills, I decided to make my own. The process is shown at compactwargaming.blogspot.com.

I am not set-up to do mass production of these, but could probably handle a few orders at a time.
