This past Thursday our group of five "old guys" met for lunch followed by a game at Steve's house. I brought my Wings of War/Wings of Glory WW1 biplanes for some afternoon aerial combat over France. But there was a twist in the first game.

Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you. Those are a pair of flying reptiles. I got the idea from the Wings of Glory Aerodrome Forum. A quick eBay search netted two inexpensive Lego flying reptiles. I gave them some highlight paint jobs and based them on thick card bases using some of my extra flight pegs. The "plane" statistics cards are also from the WoG Aerodrome Forum.

It was a fun game once the players got over their initial consternation. As game master I had fun playing the reptiles.

Super fun looking.

Neat!

I remember seeing a "terror bird" like that in some schlocky, "B" movie, back in the day, of black and white tellie. Probably in the late 1960's, or early-mid 1970s. I think it was terrorizing NY city.

IIRC, they were using a WWII era bomber, or some such to fight it off (could be wrong about that since it's been decades since I've seen it). Loved the ending of the movie.

Thresher01, wasn't that like some huge vulture thing and it had a bunch of stock DoD footage?
