Is anyone interested in this scale of miniature figures for the era?

Further, is anyone aware of any Eastern Roman troops, such as horse archers and cataphracts?

Irregular makes some metal figures that you might want to look at. Hat makes a Punic Wars range in plastic. Expeditionary Force makes some 60mm plastics. Then there is the toy soldier plastic bags that you can get on Amazon.

I have a collection of over 1,000 Expeditionary Force Romans, Celts, Germans, Persians and Greeks & Macedonians. They were loads of fun painting and are great fun gaming with. They are beautifully animated figures of hard plastic with very hard plastic weapons that won't bend.

Aren't Expeditionary force actually 60mm?

Some of their ranges are 60mm and some are 54mm.

XForce is doing some eastern cataphracts, but I believe they are going to be opponents of Rome. The Persian Satrap heavy cavalry are being retooled and they are taking the opportunity to make changes. There have been pictures of two horsemen, one very heavily armoured, with mail coif and armoured horse, the other less heavy. They look really nice and I am looking forward to them! I imagine they will be 60mm to match the other Ancients.

Hopefully the Romans are 54mm and the Gauls 60mm, since the Romans reported that the Gauls were taller than them ;-)

Cheers,

If I were ever to do anything in 54mm it would either be Caesar's Civil Wars or the Wars of the Roses.
