The Pendraken forum is not allowing new members at the moment and I had a rules question so I thought I would try here.

I am confused by how the rule book's lists the terrain effects summary and lists that some terrain is "linear" and "dense."

It seems that linear terrain stops units when they contact it. Dense terrain stops units when they enter or leave it (within the terrain boundary).

If terrain is both linear and dense does that mean that a unit has to stop right as it contacts the terrain, then stop again as it enters the terrain and then stop as it exits the terrain. So three turns to move through dense linear terrain?

That does not sound right to me. But it seems to be what the rules say.

What is the impact of terrain listed as linear and dense?

Linear and Dense are separate terrain types, defined on pages 10-11. Linear terrain has no depth, Dense terrain does.

Think hedges/streams vs woods.
