On a scale of 0 – 10, with 10 being the most interest, rate your desire to participate in, or conduct one or more naval or air skirmishes, or battles in and around the East China Sea, between China and Japan primarily, but perhaps backed up by the USA and others.

Other nations like Taiwan, Australia, and NZ may possibly weigh in too, depending upon how you think the conflict plays out.

Of course, if the Senkaku Islands fall to the Chinese, that might just be a stepping stone to their desire to retake possession, and/or control of some, if not many/all of the Ryuku Islands as well, just to the south and east, since there is historical precedent for that too.

There's even the opportunity for fighting on land, and island hopping, given that one side or the other may decide to place troops, defensive facilities, radar, and missiles on the islands too, in order to secure them. China has already done that on many of the islands in the SCS, and Japan has announced that it may do that on the Senkakus in order to protect them from aggressors.

0 Its interesting, but I don't find this very escapist, maybe a little too real.

9- mainly because I've been collecting 6mm for a China Vs Taiwan conflict. At the time I started I figured it was a years off hypothetical- now it is a new possibility.

Of course the US Marine armor I collected is now pointless.

John the OFM30 Mar 2021 8:54 p.m. PST

Why? The Marines are good at hiding things.
