"In reference to the discussion on the fast battleship U5 (post of March 18, 2021), I present an alternative variant of the U4, that is, a ship with all the turrets positioned on the axis of symmetry. Such an arrangement of the towers allowed to treat them in the springsharp like a battery, and thanks to this treatment (controversial, I am not hiding), it was possible to obtain slightly better parameters. I decided to do it in a balanced way and increased the thickness of the armor on the side (up to 330 mm), the thickness of the longitudinal anti-torpedo bulkhead (up to 57 mm), the speed to 25.5 knots and the 381 mm stock of shells to 100 per weapon. The legend of the creation of these ships remains unchanged and is as presented in the March 18 post. I wish you a positive reception of the new variant…"

Interesting but I see no point in lengthening the ship to avoid using barbettes to create superfiring turrets. These became popular for a reason.

If you poke around enough on Google images you can see some really wild dream ships people have cooked up.
