Just wanting to spread the word that Christopher Flaherty has a pdf of a book on Ottoman Uniforms of the Crimean War (expanded from his print edition from a few years back) available upon request. It is excellent. He is currently editing a pdf book on the Sardinian Army of the Crimean War. Although not on this topic (or time period), he also has a pdf of a book called The Shepherd Protects Their Flock, about the first armies and their military tactics, focusing on the areas around ancient Mesopotamia and early Egyptian armies.
