The Italeri kit is not a quick build, but a couple of hours and a little TLC gives you a very nice model. Mine is currently awaiting an AB commander…

Are there any documented instances of the AB40 in combat? In particular in combat with European adversaries (as opposed to colonial "natives")?

When I built out my Italian force I included a few AB40s, mostly for what-if scenarios of the very early war period. But I have not seen any accounts I can recall of that version seeing action -- I believe all had been converted to AB41 by the time they saw action.

What say ye?
