… May 1660 "New volume of Novogardia magazine contains a very interesting Polish account of the Russian troops under kn. Iwan Chowanski at the siege of Lachowitze (see more about the siege: link): "Conferata o potedzi nieprzyiacielskiey z roznych iezykow tak Moskiewskich iako y Peredzidczykow" (the original Polish text is at the end of the publication: link). The original is now at the Russian National Library in S. Peterburg. It's extremely interesting because contains details about strength & colours (!) of the Russian troops, for example: "Pulk Draganiey Andreia Iwanowicza Forota. Polopulkownik Tymophey Juriewicz, horągwi 6 czerwonych, krzyze biale, ludzi 400"…" Main page link Armand
